Its a real shame that one of these sides that deserve a european trophy are going to miss out! As a complete neutral and someone that like thier world football, i have a feeling even with Pogrebnyak missing that Zenith will take the trophy. It will be tight as Rangers have a strong team spirit and Cuellar has been a man mountain(defender of season in europe, let alone Scotland) but Rangers might not have enough especially after all the games they have had recently.
Zenith are one of the best counter attack teams i have seen but if Anyukov, Zenith's right-back, gets forward too much that might be an area to exploit. Arshavin has obvious potential and the danger man but players like Zyranov and Tymoschuk have been great too. They have had a bad start to the russian league and thats because thier concentration is on this cup.
Rangers will need to work so hard and its gunna be a very tense game, shame im working!! good luck to Rangers

Hello there all you Bears fans. As much as Zenit are a good team, this is our time and i'm convinced we will be lifting the cup come tomorrow night. Advocaat does have the knowledge of the Rangers team but so did Sporting, Werder Bremen and Fiorentina, and we past them on our way to the Final, if we play with the same commitment as we did on that fantastic night in Florence (The atmosphere was great), Zenit won't be able to score, We've had to play to our strentghs this season and that is our defending, football is about not conceding and that has always given us that chance to steal a goal on the counter which is what we'll do tomorrow. Our key men will be Big Carlos and Novo.
One last thing for all the boys with tickets, Bouncey Bouncey, WE ARE THE PEOPLE

I think we can do it, however the Zenit result against Bayern has made me doubt that to some extent. To Andrew Bryce i would like to say i cant see Walter changing his tactics that have seen of the likes of Werder Bremen and Fiorentina just so you can watch some 'exciting' football sorry pal. Im just worried about conceding an early goal forcing us to chase the game which is likely to leave us open at the back. Good Luck to the team, wish i was able to go to manchester :(!

a team that beat Bayern, Marseille and Villareal simply has to win. They deserve it. No comparison with the sides that Rangers have beaten. Don't like our matches being postponed but lets hope it will do our team good.

Rangers can do it. We have showed over the season that we are going in the correct direction under Walter. Hopfully some quality signings in the close season will stand us in good stead for the season ahead.
Roll on Wednesday. Come on the Gers!!!!

There's obviously a good chance, we're only 90 minutes away. No matter what happens now, Walter Smith, Ally MCcoist & Kenny Mcdowell deserve an awful lot of credit, as do the players. We have turned things around dramatically this season. We're pushing for the League title, the Uefa Cup & we're in the final for the scottish cup, not to mention the fact that we've already won the CIS cup. For a team that have been trophyless for 2 seasons that isn't bad is it?

I hope, more than anything, it's a football spectacle. In the 1/4 final away, Rangers were superb, great counter attacking football. However, in the Semi, they were awful, both legs, and simply rode their luck playing for penalties. Fingers crossed BOTH teams will try to WIN the game and not simply settle for silverware at the expense of football.
Advocaats knowledge of Rangers is immaterial as its a new side and new boss. Crucially, his main threat to Rangers is suspended, and that is to Rangers advantage.
The fixture congestion is the same for any successful side, and as a professional athlete, if you can't sustain light training sessions and 2-3 games of 90 minutes a week, perhaps you should ask if the large sum you are being paid to be fit is justified?
Rangers are in the final, they have a chance, and hopefully they'll put on a good enough display to merit something from the match. If they do go on and win, they will seal a treble with victory in the SPL, but still have a big banana skin in QOS in the Scottish Cup Final, and everyone loves an underdog. Rangers are the underdogs here, so come Scottish Cup Final day, let's not hear all the Gers fans whinig about ticket allocations for QOS fans and let them have their day in the sun at Hampden, just like they have their night in the spotlight in Manchester.

I think Rangers will do it. They've already KO'd Panathinaikos, Sporting and Fiorentina, all teams that are stronger on paper than Rangers and all capable of winning this competition. So we've seen time and again this year that the blues can upset the odds. Considering that the game is in Britain, Rangers should have the atmosphere on their side too. The top scorer for Zenit is also out so I can see Rangers win this 1-0.

We must watch out for Arshavin as everything goes through him for Zenit. We'll need to man mark him to take out their threat, similar to the way we kept Diego quiet in the Werder Bremen match. They have class throughout their team so we'll have be cautious and not let any early goals in but we have faith in Walter because he's made us believe. Our tremendous support can carry the boys and they will be our 12th man. If we win then obviously every Ger' is going to be ecstatic but if we lose i'll still be proud of what Walter and the team has achieved this year, considering where we were last season. Come on Rangers we can do it!

I really hope Walter Smith actually tries to win the game. I am getting sick of this negative ultra-defensive football.
Zenit will try and win the game so Rangers should do the same. We wanna see an exciting final. Not one where one team just defends for 90mins.

I'm a Newcastle fan so i've got a fairly neutral opinions of the two teams. Id love to see Rangers win it but on the side of caution, ths Zenit side are a quality side, they're better than the CSKA side that won he cup a few years back and they're very well organised. The one positive for Rangers which could be a HUGE matter is the fact that their top scorer is out and hes been fantastic this season. If Rangers win it, it'll be a fantastic achievement but i've got my worries. Anyway good luck to Rangers!
