If you ask me Man Utd fully deserved the Premier League Title because when we were top they were the only team getting results to get back at us. Chelsea were never in the title race until a couple of off side goals against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge & the usual controversies that go their way gave them a chance. But lets give credit where its due, Chelsea did put up a good fight but it was a battle they were never going to win. Man Utd allowed you to beat them because it was a game they could afford to lose. It should be us with the league title & in the CL final but we were denied but we are making great progress & things will be back to normal with Man Utd & Arsenal battling for the league title as it was in the beginning until the Russians invaded!! ;o)

Im inclined to agree with my fellow Reds. United have consitently been the better side. For reaction they say is an equal an opposite reaction. Take into account that United HAVE had decisions go against them. Against Chelsea at the Bridge, the Devils should have had a penalty after Michael Ballack got frisky and decided to give Ronaldo a hug in the box. If the Blues fans are so keen to point out the decisions that went for United then why not point those that went for them as well? At the end of the season its ultimately the best team that wins, the Reds proved that they were far far ahead of anyone in a galaxy far far away. The title destiny was never in Chelseas hands but always in Uniteds and it was the London clubs trophy to win but Manu's to loose. So stop moaning and complaining just because you were second best and try to focus your energies on supporting Chelsea for the Champions League final.

It's funny that only one club is accused of buying the title, Chelsea. Ok they spend money and buy players. But this has always been the case in football. In the 70's 80's and 90's, ManU Liverpool and Arsenal always spent big and bought the best. Players joined these clubs because they would win things. It was a 3 club party but now Chelsea have gate crashed the party and know one likes it. If Abramovich had bought one of the big 2 or even Liverpool, these people would not be complaining.

Congratulations to Sir Alex on this years title win. He is the real difference between the top three teams. The media and most refs are simply unwilling to cross him. The media concentrate on slagging off poor old inoffensive Grant and many refs ensure that the tight decisions go Uniteds way. I reckon Sir Alex is worth at least 5 points to United over a full season so Chelsea and Arsenal start each year at a real disadvantage. Managing is about controlling minds and in the tough commercial world of modern football Sir Alex is the unrivalled master.

For those fidgeting on the poor decision, ManUtd were the better team over the season with the inpenetrable hands of Van der Sar, rock solid patnership of Vidic and Ferdinand, emergence of Nani, Anderson, and superlative form of Ronaldo and Tevez. We have won the premiership(10 in 16yrs).... and the Champs league in a few days time... Alex Ferguson is one of d greatest managers ever. Go Red devils goooooooooooo score gooooooaaaaaaaaaaals

People saying that Mr Bennet had a bad game and made some wrong decisions..... people forget that the title race would have been over if the solomon kalou goal that should not have counted ( offside by a mile) agianst newcastle at home had not stood, so please chelsea fans stop moaning and accept that the better team won

Any Chelsea fans claiming that it was refereeing decisions that gave us the title are clearly just tasting sour grapes. If you have to rely on referees "getting it right" to win a championship then you clearly don't deserve to win it. United have been consistently good, we aren't unbeatable as the table proves but we win when it matters and when we win we don't just shut up shop and cling on for a 1-0 win like Chelsea do. Maybe if they had shown a bit more endeavour going forward this year it would have been a closer contest.

It certainly was a fascinating last day but I think the team that won it deserved it. Manchester United got the results when they really had to and that's what makes them champions. They could have made it easier for themselves but the standard of the league is so high that there are no easy games anymore even Derby gave United a game (although why they couldn't have played like for the other 37 games is beyond me). They got 4 points of Arsenal, six of Liverpool and 3 of Chelsea. They proved they were the best throughout the season and if it hadn't been for a Portsmouth miracle in the FA Cup where the were battered from start to finish then United would be staring another treble in the face. Lets just hope that Chelsea and United go for it in the final. There is alot at stake but it would be a shame if this was a boring one nil as this has the potential to be a fantastic match between two heavy weights. I have a feeling that extra time will be needed and Chelsea will win on penalties but that's the thing about football you never know.

Hats off to Sir Alex Ferguson, to me and probably many others, he has proved to be the most successful football Head Coach of our modern time. One key factor that makes him different from other Football Managers in the English Premier League, with the exception of Arsen Wenger of course, is his ability to identify and develop young players making them grow to a world class stardom. Ronaldo is the case but you can see where the likes of Nani, Anderson, Wayne Rooney are heading to! Most top European Clubs depend on top class players acquired at high price from other clubs! Congrat Ulations and All the Best Man U on Wednesday against Chelsea!

In my opinion, in the Rio Fredinand incident I thought it was his shoulder not an arm. If it had been an arm, the ball would have ricocheted differently than flying out for a corner. I thought that was what Mr. Bennett saw. Still, it was 50%-50% as the referee might have still given it. For the MU penalty, I thought Boyce got absolutely NOTHING of the ball and all of Wayne Rooney. He just dived in, and if you see the replay, got nothing of the ball. So it was a penalty. But for Paul Scholes, I am absolutely shocked the referee didn't send him off for a second yellow. That was simply unacceptable. Mr. Bennett should be asked to explain this decision, as it was so blatant! But still, over the course of the season, United had been performing very consistently and scoring more goals than anyone else. I think the only other team I like watching is Arsenal. And I don't have any problems with the title being decided on goal difference and more goals scored. I HATE 1-0 "the Arsenal of Old" games which was won on lost on tight defending. I think it is fair for the FA to award the title in case of a tie on points on the basis of goals scored and goal difference.

I really think that the Chelsea fans need to grow up. They seem to all want to blame Steve Bennet when they had the chance to win the league a few weeks back when they dropped points against wigan. I do agree that Steve Bennet did not have the best of games on Sunday but that was not the only thing that changed the Premier League race. Man utd have been the best and most consistant over the season. I am sure that if you look back over this season you will see a lot of decisions going Chelseas way. Man Utd will show who is the best team is when they meet on the 21st May. It has been a fantastic season this year and its good to come down to the last game. WELL DONE UNITED CHAMPIONS AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!

Chelsea are a bunch of sore losers especially their fans ....let us be serious though what did u expect from Wigan with our history seriously we went there knowing it was a must win game and previously we had played five games and had won them all. So u seriously expected Wigan to beat United...very funny but then since u have decided that it was untoward wait for the champions league final if a second string United team had taken u to the wire at Stamford Bridge and it took a very fortuitous penalty on 86 min for Chelsea to win just wait when you get the first eleven in Moscow..I wish u all the best whiners! and what is this garbage about ManU having it easy this season ? if I remember correctly Arsenal fans were thoroughly enjoying the League when being on top of the table and had started laps of honor as early as September and i remember they said Man U were to be relegated because of our standings around September remember we were surviving one nil wins for a very long time until Wigan came along and lets say the goals started flowing!

Plain & Simple, the league table doesn't lie. United are champions because we have scored the most goals and have the best defence. Overall the best team in England & Hopefully Europe won the league. Chelsea were just not consitent enough they dropped 2 points a lot of the time whilst united were turning potentail draws in to wins and potential losses into draws. Thats why we won the title! Champions!

All this talk of penalties, yes the penalty they scored shouldn't have been a penalty but is every one forgetting the second half where titus bramble swiped scholes' legs from benath him as he came to the by-line, decisions even themselves out. Also, even if rio's handball had been given Man Utd still scored two goals. Chelsea fans need to get over themselves, focus on winning champions league, or at least coming up for some excuses if Man Utd do them in moscow aswell. Well done Man Utd and to the rest of the premier league sides for providing us with what I'd probably consider one of the best seasons ever in the premier league for the neutral to watch

Congrats to Man Utd is certainly the order of the day. Man Utd didn't won the league on this result alone, they won it with their consistency through out the season. Yes the stats never lie. 27 wins, 80 goals, hats off to them. However, its a bit odd to think that every team that played in the JBB this season played on a pitch that was similar to the surface of the moon but not Man Utd, Wigan decided to 'FIX' their pitch for this game, strange, and then you open your sunday newspaper only to read a qoute from Steve Bruce saying that he would be gutted if his team won today. All that, and Mr Benneth's lack of guts with the Ferdinand handball, the Rooney dive, and the Scholes tackle, unforunately leaves a bad taste about the entire thing. As I said, United didn't win the league on this game alone, but, if it wasn't for a tinge of gamesmanship from Bruce, and a little help from the referee, they could have lost it.

Well done to Manchester United on a very well deserved title. Even though I don't support them, it really annoys me when people say that Manchester United buy the title. If Chelsea had won, then yes, it would be more than fair to have levelled that criticism at them. Manchester United are a rich club because of their brand and their image. They are a business as well as a team, but never lose sight that first and foremost they need to play good quality and successful football to keep them in that position. They have homegrown players (substantially more than any of the other top four) and the players that they do buy are from generated funds because of their success both on and off the field...not from the pockets of a rich benefactor. As a West Ham fan, I will admit that I look at them with envy, particularly when I see Ferdinand and Carrick playing week in week out. There is a huge difference between envy and jealousy. MOST (not all) fans of Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool are filled with jealousy. They can't stand the success of Manchester United, but I bet most would sell their family if it meant they could be in same position of strength and dominance. Chelsea didn't deserve the title this year. They play a poor brand of football, and it surprises me thet there's not more empty seats at the bridge each week. John Terry has really done down in my estimation with his behaviour this year. Arsenal played some awesome football, but trying to pass the ball into the net won't work every week. It's time for Theo to be given the chance to play up top. I don't feel Adebayor going would be too much of a loss. Liverpool will never win anything all the while Benitez it too proud to admit he makes mistakes both on the pitch and in the transfer market. Torres has been awesome, but he's also bought a load of rubbish too. A big clearout is needed on the pitch, and possibly the managers office too.

Good season to a point - No one of the top four ran away with it. However yet again the title goes to one of the rich clubs and the polarisation of the league continues. Same four in the top four for how many seasons now. Two of the promoted teams straight back down (five from six in two years). Same four getting the big prize money and the proceeds of champions leahue football next season. Long term is this good for the game and the league. Something radical needs to be done to address this polarisation. Should the league proceeds be given out in reverse order - biggest money to the lowest finishing team in an effort to strengthen them. Should the champions league qualifiers be forced to forego league money. Should their be a salary cap - either by player or by club. If things continue a European Super league is inevitable because in the end of the day only money talks. Unless something is done the Premierships days are numbered.
