There is a saying never count your chickens before they hatch.Man Utd? pressure is on.I believe they will crack since they are tired and if they dont score in the first half they will be introuble. U saw aganist Blackburn? poor first half that almost cost them. The man to win title is Anderson. He has legs to run all day and win tackles & the ball in a dog fight for Tevez n Ronaldo. Scholes is good but hes no Anderson. This game will be won in midfield in a dog fight and ANDERSON IS KEY.

What a fantastic day sunday is going to be for english football!!Theres no question that United deserve to win the title for the way they've played all season. Fair play to Grant for the job he's come in and done under all the pressure but United are the best team in Europe at the moment and will dig deep to overcome a resiliant Wigan Side. Don't rule out a late Bolton equiliser at Stamford Bridge either!!What a season and what a day Sunday will be!!!

It will be the usual "knuckle-chewing" situation with all the ups & downs through-out the day. Wigan are in good form and Steve Bruce will have mixed emotions I guess; I'm sure he'd love to get one over Fergie - but at the expense of denying Utd the title? I still think Utd will edge it - probably 2-1 as the do know how to "finish the job" and surely have too much talent and professionalism to blow it now. Chelsea will beat Bolton....but don't be surprised to see them get revenge in the Champions League final; it's all set-up perfectly for Abramovich to celebrate! As for the other end of the table I think the Birmingham/Blackburn game is difficult to call; but in front of their own fans I think Brum can edge it 2-1 ...but I don't think it'll be enough as I think Reading will sneak a 1-0 win at Derby (I'd love to see them stay up if only for Steve Coppell's sake; one of the few decent, honest men left in football). As for my own team, Portsmouth; they are over-due a win and I think Harry will want to go into the FA Cup final with a win and a good performance under his belt. Also they love to say a big "thank you" to the fantastic fans at Fratton Park. Jermaine will want to go out on a high and I can see him having a good day, maybe 2-0 to the blues. (It will be a shame for Roy Hodgson - another "good guy" and a good manager). Besides Pompey could still nick 6th spot and a UEFA Cup slot - just in case disaster strikes in the Cup Final (which it won't!) - if my prediction of Brum edging out Rovers comes true and West Ham bt Villa (last game of the season, at home, due a performance...could happen!!!). So in a nutshell; B'rum and Fulham down, Utd to win Premiership! Oh and Chelsea Champions League, Zenit St Petersburg UEFA Cup......and fingers crossed that Rangers also slip up (against Dundee Utd??!!) to allow Celtic to pinch title!!

I am oh so nervous about United getting a result at Wigan on Sunday. I know Chelsea will win thats my problem. I cant see United winning but maybe getting a draw. The form guide suggests this to be the case as well. Oh well, we will see. I hope am wrong as United have deserved it this season.

The odds are surely against us but if Fulham survive it will be a miraculous escape. Whatever happens we must be proud of the way the fans, manager and players have come togrther to give it a real go.

So it goes down to the wire. Forget conspiracy, Wigan will do their best. As a Chelsea fan for over 46 years, I am so proud of what they have done this season. We may lose the title on goal difference, but after what has happened to Manager and player injuries a great season. ManU side with the exception of a couple of players have all be bought for between £5 - £30 million pounds each. Does this mean they would have bought the Premier League Title????????

I said on this site when Alex Mcleish took over at Birmingham that he would take them down. He has made a career of taking teams back the way and with Scotland he was handed Walter Smith's team who he happily took the credit for but i now notice that the current Birnmingham team is suddenly Steve Bruce's, sorry Birmingham fans he is taking you down !!

United derserve to win the league, chelsea are always scraping wins and goals, united are more exciting to watch and if we didn't have such a poor start to the season, this title race would be over. chelsea have done well to come back into it, but overall the trophy deserves to stay at Old Trafford.

As a Man Utd fan I'm obviously going to say title is coming our way, I don't believe a second placed team with the chance of winning the title on the final day has won it (please correct me if i;m wrong). More to the point its ours to lose and I can't see Fergie saying have a stroll out and you'll win it. The relegation battle is the more interesting one. I believe Birmingham are going down, and i believe they will be joined by Reading, with my reasoning being Fulham are clicking, and more to the point what the Reading players are saying. Coppell must be fuming, when have you ever heard him talk like that, that complacency might set in among the players. i would like to add one more point, i am fed up with the antics or subtle jibes aimed at managers regarding their performance on the last day of the season. Many say that Bruce may hand title cos of his United connections. RUBBISH! Portsmouth may field a weakened team which impacts the relegation battle. SO WHAT! Warnock took a dig at United last season because it was between Sheff Utd and West Ham as to who would go down. As far as I'm concerned it is the teams poor performances that have put them in a relegation position, if Portsmouth want to field a weakened team so they're fresh for the final next week then let them, they come first, they played well through the season, they're safe they earned it. Bolton and Wigan are safe, if they don't put up a fight let them, they're safe. And it works the other way round, if Wigan beat United, Utd are to blame, they should have wrapped it up sooner. Be accountable, don't pass the buck and say another team caused you to lose the title or be relegated.

There's no doubt that Man Utd are champions again this season. We are facing Wigan on Sunday just to prove to our critics that we are the CHAMPS. Congrats to Chelsea on being a good comptitor. You have tried and worked so hard but accept the fact that it's our season once agan. TRY NEXT SEASON if you can.

Nick Anderson says...
I agree with Sir Alex, how come all the pressure has been put on Wigan to perform and beat United, when Chelsea could still lose to Bolton at home. How come no-one has talked about the Bolton team. I think the interview on Sky sports news (Lou Macari and 'Jay') just now has emphasised how worried Chelsea fans are about losing the title, yes Chelsea may be the form team, but we just beat Barca to get into the Champions League Final, thats hardly a bad position and mind-set to be in is it?? Chelsea are relying on Wigan to do "justice to the premiership" as John Terry said this week, how can Wigan do justice by making one of the most exciting teams in the league lose the title and giving it to the most boring and depressing team?? Even Derby play more exciting football than Chelsea...

I'd love to see Man Utd do the double and Ronaldo getting a goal or two more before this very interesting season ends, but Wigan have been good of late and it sure as the sun does shine won't be easy for them mancs to get that win they're after. Wigan will probably be camping their half hoping to cause enough of a nervous feeling in the United camp. Fulham of late haven't looked all that bad and I feel they have had some really bad luck this season. Newcastle at Craven Cottage was an interesting game that I fully felt Fulham were more deserved of the three points after the effort they put in. But Portsmouth might prove too big a mouthful so here's to hoping that Derby can prove that one should never give up in adversity!

Squeaky bum time, don't talk to me. This is the most nervous I have ever been - to throw it away now, would be criminal. I think we have the quality to beat Wigan, and that should shine through - but us United fans are made to suffer, we tend to make things more difficult for ourselves and it wouldn't surprise me if Wigan score first. Especially seeing as we've shown signs of nerves in our play over the past few weeks. Chelsea are certainly turning up the heat, fast forward to Sunday COME ON UNITED!!!

Fulham deserve to stay up, they've kept battling and battling when the pundits wrote them off. They've shown alot of heart and the team spirit is enormous. If they do avoid the drop it would be along the lines of West Brom's miracle a couple of seasons ago which would be great to see again.

Archie Crawford (Manchester United fan) says...
It looks doubtful that Rooney will play on Sunday which is certainly a blow for Man United. Its a known fact that united win a higher % matches when Rooney plays. I just hope they can deal with the pitch at Wigan and grind out a victory if needed. My prediction is for the game to locked at 1-1 with a late goal from Ronaldo to seal the title. That would be a fitting end to the season.

I still hope my Fulham side can stay up. Since Jimmy Bullard came back into the team we have looked capable of surviving in the Premier League so hope we can hang on and mount a proper challenge next season.
