Jodie Kidd: Dunhill regular
Supermodel Jodie Kidd may be famous for strutting down the catwalk but, as she told Golf Night, she is just as comfortable trudging the wet-and-windy fairways of Scotland's famous links courses.
Kidd - a keen golfer whose handicap has been as low as 18 - is a regular at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, where professionals are partnered with celebrities and amateurs.
And there is no point pouting and posing in the face of a force nine gale hammering in from the North Sea.
"I think I've played most of my golf on links courses," the 29-year-old told Di Stewart. "I go up and play the Dunhill Links so you've got St Andrews, Carnoustie and Kings Barns.
"They always seem to time it for the end of the year, when you get the odd day that's absolutely torrential. The fairway will be straight on and you'll have to aim over there with your tee shot.
"But I think they're the most beautiful courses, especially on a sunny day."
Sunny days are more plentiful down in Goodwood, home of Kidd's local course.
"I love it, because it's right up on top of the South Downs and you get the most beautiful views," she said.
Such is Kidd's love of the sport, she has branched out into designing golf clothing in recent years, so does her busy life leave time for watching?
"I watch all the big tournaments - the Masters and the Ryder Cup," she said. "But because I'm travelling and working so much I don't get to see the whole of most tournaments.
"But for the big tournaments I make sure I just sit constantly in front of the tv or - hopefully - get to go."
Playing is clearly her first love, though, all the better if she can pick up some tips from the world's best.
She said: "I've played with Monty, Paul Casey, Luke Donald - whose swing is just amazing. I was trying to copy everything he did. I've been really lucky - being able to walk courses with these amazing golfers has been such a treat."
