Gary Megson says he has no problem with Sir Alex Ferguson after the Manchester United boss accused the Bolton players of partying too much before their game with Chelsea.
Ahead of the crucial final day of the season with Manchester United and Chelsea fighting for the title, Ferguson claimed the Bolton players might not be focused on the trip to Stamford having all but secured their safety with victory over Sunderland the week before.
Bolton proved Ferguson wrong by earning a battling 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge and Megson says Ferguson's accusations did not upset his players.
"They weren't partying they went out on the Monday in the full knowledge they had six days to recover," Megson told Sky Sports News. "They didn't go crazy they did have a drink they did get together which they have done in the past and they will do it in future.
"Sometimes it is a good thing it gets everybody together, Sir Alex was just making sure the players were on their toes and they were.
"I received a text from him the other day I text him well done and he text me back well done and hoped his team talk did not upset the players
"It didn't it never did. They put in a real good shift down there to get a draw at Chelsea which most people haven't done they worked their socks off."
