Ramos: under pressure
I wonder if Ramos will be happy to just say 'OK I've done my best with this side and I can concentrate on what's coming next year.' Maybe the Premier League.
Balague on Ramos
Quotes of the week
Guillem Balague told Revista de la Liga that Juande Ramos' tenure at Sevilla could be coming to an end and that he could end up at a Premier League club.
Sevilla have lost their last four Liga matches and are currently in 15th position and although Balague does not believe Ramos will be sacked, he feels he will be looking for pastures new before long.
"It's not a real possibility yet (that Ramos will leave)," Balague said on Revista.
"But I do see that at some point maybe even the fans will say 'OK he's taken us to a place but now he can leave the side'.
"There are some people in the press that are trying to force the issue in that direction but the chairman, although he's not the best of friends with Juande Ramos, will want to keep him for now."
Last season Sevilla finished third in La Liga, just five points behind champions Real Madrid and having won the Uefa Cup back-to-back they finally have a crack at the Champions League this season.
But Ramos' side were humbled 3-0 by Arsenal in their opening group match.
And even though they struck back in their second games with a 4-2 win against Slavia Prague, their Liga form has been woeful of late.
"I wonder if Ramos will be happy to just say 'OK I've done my best with this side and I can concentrate on what's coming next year,'" said Balague.
"Maybe the Premier League."
"In a way it would be a relief because it does seem like this team is in decline."
Ramos, who has been linked with Chelsea in the past and recently turned down an approach by Tottenham, has experienced the sack before, when manager of Espanyol, but Balague believes these are different circumstances.
"He was sacked from Espanyol in the past," continued Balague, "but I do think it's a completely different situation.
"If you put together the fact that Dani Alves almost went to Chelsea, he's been touted by Spurs, the death of Puerta and Champions League you can see what has happened. And conceding ten goals in the league already..."

Adegboyega Ogundele (Arsenal fan) says...
If and when Juande Ramos eventually leave Sevilla, there will be no doubting the fact that he will be leaving as a fulfilled man.
