Hill: backing breast cancer

Most people think rugby is a man's game. Well kick that thought into touch because a breast cancer charity has teamed up with England's top clubs to offer women a weekend of rugby with a difference.

For the first time ever all 12 Guinness Premiership Clubs will simultaneously run a charity partnership and the cause to benefit from this first ever joint promotion will be the UK's leading breast cancer support charity, Breast Cancer Care.

Across the weekend of the 19-20 April all six Guinness Premiership rugby matches are turning pink to raise funds and awareness for the charity.

Women can purchase tickets for all the games at a special price of £15, with £4.25 of every ticket going directly to Breast Cancer Care.

At the games themselves referees will be dressed in pink, Saracens will be playing in pink, Vainikolo might even braid his hair pink and who knows what Jonny will do for the ladies!

Support

Richard Hill of Saracens said: "It doesn't matter if you know nothing about the game, this weekend is all about showing your support for the 44,000 women and 300 men who are newly diagnosed with breast cancer each year.

"Guinness Premiership club rugby is a great sport for all the family to enjoy and it's a chance to wear pink and show your support whilst enjoying world class entertainment'
