Shane Geraghty London Irish

Geraghty: Messy lad

Thursdays on Sky Sports

In a brand new feature The Rugby Club goes behind the scenes in the Guinness Premiership to reveal the truth about the stars on the pitch.

In the second week we travel to London Irish to meet manager Kieran McCarthy who reveals the joker in the pack and relives a player's worst nightmare.

Worst card player: Richard Skuse. Because he cannot count the numbers on the cards.

The Messiest: Shane Geraghty. I remember visiting one of the academy houses where he was accomodated and he knew I was coming so he had this big rush to tidy up the place. It appeared tidy but when I opened the wardrobe the entire contents fell on top of my head.

Who would make the worst coach? Bob Casey. You need to have a certain seriousness about your approach to coaching. Bob has none.

Chatterbox: Phil Murphy: His talks are very interesting, he feels that as a Canadian he has to pretend to be an American and talk all the time.

Most Disorganised: Juan Leguizamon is a nightmare. He does not know if it is Tuesday or Easter Sunday.

Once Juan had a lovely clear break for the line without a defender around him, he took a swan dive over the line and dropped the ball. Thankfully it did not cost us the game and we did win, but Juan will never live it down and will have nightmares the rest of his life.
