Recently recovered from an ankle injury, Baghdatis returned to ATP Tour action in the warm-up event in Halle where as defending champion he lost to Roger Federer in the third round. His injury caused him to miss a host of tournaments and crash out of the French Open in the first round, and his stamina will surely be put to the test if he makes any progress at Wimbledon. However, his game is clearly suited to the grasscourts as he reached the semi-finals here two years ago and the last eight last year. Already hugely popular with the Wimbledon crowd.
