Rafael Nadal: Few problems.
Second seed Rafael Nadal clinched his quarter-final place at Wimbledon with a comfortable straight-sets triumph over Mikhail Youzhny.
The second seed overcame an early injury scare to race away to a 6-3 6-3 6-1 triumph over the Russian 17th seed on Court One.
The match was just one game old when the Spaniard requested a break to allow his trainer to treat a knee injury after he pulled up when racing to return a drop shot.
When play resumed the knee was dressed with extra strapping and the manner in which he bludgeoned his way to open up a 1-0 set lead suggested there was nothing to worry about.
Nadal then broke in the fourth game of the second set as Youzhny became ground out of contention by some relentless hitting.
To his credit the Russian kept battling away to hold two successive service games but it was merely delaying the inevitable as Nadal moved to within one set of victory.
Youzhny spurned three break points in the opening game of the third set and from then on Nadal was in his element and went on to wrap up victory in two hours and 10 minutes.
