Nicholls: 11 points
Coventry Bees added the Craven Shield to their Elite League title with a nail-biting victory over Swindon on Friday.
The Bees held a 17-point advantage going into the third and final leg at Brandon, with defending champions Poole out of the running.
But the Robins fought back valiantly, with Leigh Adams, Fredrick Lindgren and Tomas Chrzanowski all unbeaten by an opponent on the night.
But Coventry had Rory Schlein and Steve Johnston out in the final heat and they securing enough points to gain a two-point advantage on aggregate.
As ever, Scott Nicholls was outstanding with 11 points with good support from Chris Harris, Schlein and Johnston.
The final scores were Coventry 120, Swindon 118, Poole 86.
