WWE Blacklash The Undertaker Edge

Undertaker: Too strong for Edge

The Undertaker safely negotiated the latest challenge thrown at him by general manager Vickie Guerrero as he forced Edge into submission during his World Heavyweight title defence in Baltimore.

After promising to bring the gold back "where it belongs" on SmackDown, Edge failed to threaten the Undertaker, and in the end perished to the Deadman's new vicious submission hold.

Coming into Backlash The Phenom had successfully seen off brother and ECW Champion Kane, as well as Festus and two epic battles with Batista as Edge's ruthless fiancée continued to test the 'Taker's resolve.

No sooner had Edge stepped into the ring had the menacing eyes of the Deadman stared right through the challenger with the words "I am going to hurt you" snarled by the reigning champ.

Immediately the Undertaker set about inflicting pain on the Rated-R superstar as he pummelled his opponent across all corners of the ring.

Lethal submission

After a brief fightback from Edge The Phenom began to overpower the challenger and as he went for his trademark Chokeslam he saw Zack Ryder heading towards the ring.

The Undertaker blocked Ryder's path with the aid of Edge, but as the champ went for the Last Ride, the challenger reversed and rolled the Deadman into a Sunset Flip.

However, the 'Taker reacted quickly and manoeuvred the former WWE champ into his lethal submission move as the Ultimate Opportunist was forced to tap out.

Despite his admission of defeat the Undertaker kept the hold on Edge until Guerrero was forced to come ringside and remonstrate with the relentless Phenom.

Edge left the arena with blood gushing from his gaping mouth as the 'Taker made a brutal statement to the rest of the WWE that he is not prepared to relinquish his crown, and whoever Guerrero throws at him next will not be feared.
