Busch: Overcame car troubles

One race after he infuriated NASCAR's biggest fanbase, Kyle Busch overcame a "pathetic" car to win the Dodger Charger 500 at Darlington Raceway.

Battling brake issues and slower cars after being put into pit lane for a missing lug nut on one of his tyres, Busch came from 23rd to take the lead with around 60 laps to go and run away with victory.

Busch also hit the walls of Darlington - like a number of other cars - a number of times, but managed to regain control to keep his car and take home his second win in third starts and third overall.

"How many times did I hit the wall? I don't know, one, two, three, four, probably five or six," Busch said.

"I've got to thank my team, they build them as strong as they can for me, cause I like to knock the walls down with them. Darlington showed again tonight it's one of the hardest places. Always has been, always will be.

Polesitter

"We're going to go through a lot of Mac tools trying to fix this thing, but that's OK. They gave me such a race car."

Following Busch at the end of the race were Carl Edwards, Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt Jr, David Ragan, Matt Kenseth and Denny Hamlin. Travis Kvapil came in eighth, and Dave Blaney and Jeff Burton rounded out the top 10.

In the race's starting 240 laps, it was polesitter Greg Biffle who seemed to have the best car. His No.16 Ford Fusion dominated the early proceedings and it seemed that him in Victory Lane not Busch. However, on lap 238 he had to come in with transmission issues and he never returned.
