Real Mallorca have completed the capture of Josemi from Villarreal and are also set to sign Racing Santander's Ayoze Diaz.

Former Liverpool right-back Josemi has signed a three-year deal while Diaz is set to join on a similar deal.

Club president Great Vicenc was pleased to announce Josemi's arrival on the club's official website: "Josemi is a reality."

Josemi is looking forward to getting his career back on track following a difficult season with Villarreal.

"I'm looking to take this opportunity after what was a difficult season for me," said the 28-year-old.

Josemi will be joined by Diaz at the club after he jetted into Palma ahead of undergoing a routine medial on Sunday.

"I'm very pleased to be here," explained the Racing man. "I'm here to learn and help the club continue the progress they have made."
