South Africa's round of the 2008/09 A1GP season, which takes place from 20-22 February, has been switched from Durban to the Kyalami circuit in Gauteng Province.
Durban's street circuit had hosted a round of the 'World Cup of Motorsport' in each of the three seasons of A1GP competition.
However, next season's round has been switched to the Johannesburg track which formerly played host to the South African Formula One Grand Prix - Kyalami last holding that race in 1993.
A1 Team RSA Seat Holder Tokyo Sexwale said: "A new season of A1GP approaches and with it, new and exciting developments. The series is characterised by fast cars, high octane action and beautiful people - all of which also characterise the province of Gauteng."
A1GP CEO Pete da Silva added: "Gauteng is the economic powerhouse of the country and also the home of competitive sport, now including A1GP. The people of South Africa and more especially Gauteng can look forward to an event like no other. It will be a feast for the senses."
Race of Champions - including Lewis Hamilton vs Chris Hoy - will be live and in HD on Sky Sports.
