Jarvis: Delighted to be back
Oliver Jarvis is to return to the cockpit for A1 Team Great Britain when the 'World Cup of Motorsport' visits South Africa next weekend.
The 24-year-old replaces Robbie Kerr, who raced for the team in both New Zealand and Australia.
Jarvis knows the Durban street circuit, having taken part in the rookie session there last year.
With two second places in four outings at the track, Kerr will also be on hand to offer his experience.
"I'm delighted to be back in the British car and I'm especially looking forward to the Durban event," Jarvis told www.a1gp.com.
"I had the opportunity to do the rookie session in Durban last year and it's a fantastic street track in a beautiful setting, so I'm really looking forward to racing there this year.
"Hopefully we can continue on from Robbie's podium in Australia and get more podium finishes in order to keep Britain in the championship fight."
Great Britain currently lie sixth in the standings with 58 points.
They will head to South Africa without a rookie driver, however.
James Winslow, who performed the role in New Zealand and Australia, is unavailable and the team have decided that using another rookie on the tight Durban track would be too big an ask.
Race of Champions - including Lewis Hamilton vs Chris Hoy - will be live and in HD on Sky Sports.
