A preliminary calendar for the 2008/09 A1GP season has been released, with the 'World Cup of Motorsport' this time being contested over 11 rounds.
That means one more round - and two more races - than last season, when Switzerland claimed their first title.
Although several venues have yet to be confirmed, the calendar already has a rather different look to it than seasons past, with a new venue, Italy's Mugello circuit, hosting the opening races on September 21st.
Round three will be contested in Jakarta, with www.a1gp.com promising more details on Indonesia's round later in the week. The country held races at the Sentul track during A1GP's first two seasons.
China hosts round five on December 14th - the series only visiting the country once this season. A venue has yet to be confirmed, although Shanghai and Zhuhai - which both hosted rounds last season - are in the frame.
The venues for both rounds seven and 11 in South Africa and Great Britain are also still up in the air - Durban and Brands Hatch having hitherto respectively hosted the events.
Both the country and venue for round nine, scheduled for March 29th, will be announced at a later stage.
Round 10 sees the series head to Portugal and the new Autodromo Internacional do Algarve, currently being built in Portimao and expected to be completed in the autumn.
Two major test sessions have also been planned prior to the new season: Silverstone hosting a three-day session between August 18th and 20th, with the teams also at Mugello on September 17th and 18th.
