Darren Crompton has signed a new two-year contract with Guinness Premiership team Bristol.
The 33-year-old prop is in his second spell with the club having had four seasons at the Memorial Stadium before a one-year stint at Cardiff Blues in 2003.
Coach Richard Hill was delighted that Crompton had put pen to paper:
"I'm very happy. DC isn't just a good player, he's a very good team member and a good club man. His influence is felt on and off the field," said Hill.
"He's a very loyal player and was one of the very last to leave the club in 2003 and did so with a heavy heart.
"Since he's returned, he's been a pivotal part of what we've achieved and I'd argue that he's probably been in the best form of his career the past two seasons," added Hill.
Crompton is one of several Bristol players to commit to the club in recent weeks. He follows Neil Clark, Dave Hilton, Craig Short, David Lemi and Wayne Thompson in signing deals.
