Julian White has been suspended by Leicester after he was sent off during Friday's encounter with Northampton.
The England prop was involved in a brawl with Andy Perry, and both players will face an internal disciplinary hearing for their actions.
The Tigers have moved to suspend White for his part in the disgraceful scenes at Welford Road, and he and Perry are likely to face a ban for their discrepancy.
The news caps off a disappointing last few weeks for White, who was surprisingly left out of Andy Robinson's latest England squad.
Meanwhile, the Falcons have confirmed that no internal action will be taken against Perry until they receive referee Tony Spreadbury's official report.
Club director Rob Andrew confirmed: "We will wait until we see the referee's report and for Tuesday's disciplinary hearing in Coventry before seeing what, if any, action we will take.
"Having watched the match again on video over the weekend we haven't seen anything other than our player acting in self defence."
Both players will find out their fate in a court hearing on Tuesday.
