Newly-promoted Leeds have signed flanker Hendre Fourie from Rotherham on a one-year deal.
The 27-year-old will put his job as a computer technology teacher on hold to take on his role in the Guinness Premiership.
The South African was named in the National League One team of the season as he played his part in guiding Rotherham to second place behind Leeds.
"I doubt if there is a player or a coach in Division One who doesn't respect Hendre's ability as a top class back-row forward," Leeds director of rugby Stuart Lancaster said.
"I am delighted he is joining us to complement our existing high-quality players."
Fourie will link-up with Rotherham captain Joe Bedford at Leeds after he joined the side. They have also signed Cornish Pirates' pair Alberto Di Bernardo and Samoan international Viliami Ma'asi.
