Andersen: Picked up 17 points (FOTOSPEEDWAY.PL)
Consistency over individual brilliance proved to be the difference as Belle Vue edged Peterborough Panthers 52-42 on Monday night.
Panthers captain Hans Andersen was in imperious form as he won four of his five rides and picked up 17 points along the way.
However, although he outshone British GP champion Jason Crump on the night, the Aces had a better all-round team performance to thank for the win.
Crump, Charlie Gjedde, Joe Screen and Robert Ksiezak all finished with double figures to deny the Panthers.
Gjedde was the only rider on the night to pip Andersen, winning heat 15 after a fast start for a 14-point haul.
Crump finished with 10+1, Aces reserve Ksiezak picked up 10+3 while Screen won two races for 11+1 points.
British number one Scott Nicholls looks back on his season so far and he is not too happy.
Sky Sports' Nigel Pearson looks ahead to the speedway play-offs which are heading our way soon.
The Panthers have found some bite but the Pirates will walk away with the booty, says Kelvin Tatum.
