Ahead of the Challenge Cup final we look at some facts and stats surrounding the Wembley showpiece.

1. Huddersfield are appearing in their tenth Challenge Cup final and have won the trophy six times. Their last triumph was at Wembley in 1953.

2. Warrington are making their 14th Challenge Cup final appearance and are looking for a sixth win. Their last success was at Wembley in 1974.

3. Huddersfield have beaten Warrington only twice in the 10 times they have met in the Challenge Cup but each time it was in the final. They won 9-5 at Headingley in 1913 and 21-17 at Wembley in 1933.

4. Huddersfield have just five survivors from their last appearance in the final at Twickenham in 2006. They are Martin Aspinwall, Paul Jackson, Stephen Wild, Andy Raleigh and Eorl Crabtree.

5. Four members of the current Giants squad were in the Wigan team that lost to St Helens in the 2004 final at the Millennium Stadium. They are David Hodgson, Kevin Brown, Stephen Wild and Danny Sculthorpe, who is ineligible for Saturday. A fifth player, Keith Mason, was in the victorious St Helens team.

6. Warrington captain Adrian Morley is the only man from either side to have played at the "old" Wembley. He was in the Leeds team that beat London Broncos 52-16 in in 199.

7. Warrington prop Garreth Carvell is the only man on duty on Saturday to have already played at the "new" Wembley. He was in the Hull side beaten by St Helens a year ago.

8. Warrington are aiming to become only the second club behind Sheffield Eagles to win the Cup and finish outside Super League's top five in the same season. They are currently ninth and cannot finish any higher than seventh.

9. Honours have been shared in the engage Super League this year, Warrington winning 40-18 at home but Huddersfield gaining revenge with a 28-10 at the Galpharm Stadium.

10. The bookmakers are anticipating the closest final for years and, if the scores are level after 80 minutes, a replay will be held at Bolton's Reebok Stadium on Tuesday, September 8.
