Bailey: Banned for Bradford clash

David Ferriol, Phil Bailey and Stanley Gene have all been suspended by the Rugby Football League's disciplinary panel.

Les Catalans forward Ferriol was handed the biggest ban, getting two games for a dangerous throw.

The incident occured during the Dragons' 34-6 defeat to Leeds Rhinos at Headingley Carnegie last Friday.

The French international, who will miss the upcoming fixtures against Warrington and Bradford, has also been fined £300.

Bailey was also charged with a dangeous throw, during Wigan's loss to Hull, although he was only banned for one match.

The second-rower's indiscretion does mean though that he will have to sit out Saturday's showdown with Bradford, which is live on Sky Sports.

Hull KR's Gene will be sidelined for one week after being found guilty of a reckless high tackle.

Gene was placed on report during Rovers' 29-28 home to Warrington at Craven Park on Sunday.

However, he was already not in action this weekend as the Robins had their fixture moved forward due to Leeds' participation in the World Club Challenge.

It means the utility player from Papua New Guinea will now not play in the round five trip to Wakefield Wildcats, which takes place on March 9.

Like Ferriol, both Bailey and Gene were hit in the pocket to the tune of £300.
