Hoggard: No return
England have named an unchanged team for the first Test against New Zealand at Lord's.
Matthew Hoggard is the man to miss out from the 12-man squad named by the selectors on Sunday.
The Yorkshire seamer has been unable to force his way back into the side after being dropped during the winter tour of New Zealand.
The selectors have instead kept faith with the players who won the third Test in Napier in March to seal a 2-1 series victory.
It means they enter tomorrow's match with an attack led by player of the year Ryan Sidebottom and backed up by Nottinghamshire seamer Stuart Broad and Lancashire's Jimmy Anderson, with Monty Panesar providing the spin option.
Durham all-rounder Paul Collingwood has passed himself fit following a third injection into his troublesome right shoulder and will help in the attack.
"It is going to be the same team that won our last Test in Napier," said captain Michael Vaughan.
"Hopefully it will be a similar performance and a similar result."
