Song: New deal
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that midfielder Alexandre Song has agreed a new contract with the club.
The Cameroon international is set to put pen-to-paper on terms that will tie him to Emirates Stadium until 2014.
Song joined the Gunners from Bastia in 2006 and over the last year he has emerged as a vital member of Arsene Wenger's side.
Wenger said: "We extended his contract yesterday. That will be confirmed very shortly. He is an important player.
"Alex has three years to go, now he has four years to go at the end of the season - to 2014."
Anchorman Song, 22, has made a total of 96 appearances for Arsenal, scoring three goals.
