Abdou: Has a bit of everything

Millwall have signed Nadjim Abdou after the midfielder turned down a new contract at Plymouth Argyle.

Abdou had joined Plymouth last summer and was offered an extension at Home Park after scoring twice in 33 appearances.

However, he rejected a deal with the Championship club and has dropped down a division to sign a two-year contract with Millwall.

Lions manager Kenny Jackett is confident the League One side have captured a player 'on the way up'.

"Jimmy is a central midfielder and I am very pleased to bring him to Millwall," Jackett told the club's official website.

"He gained good experience in the Championship last year and the fact that he has a real hunger and desire to be successful was a big attraction to me.

"I feel that Jimmy is a player on the way up. He is a good age, 23, and is a midfield player with a bit of everything, including a real strength in his tackling."
