Fulop: Loan move

Sunderland manager Roy Keane admits goalkeeper Marton Fulop could complete his loan move to Stoke by the weekend.

The 24-year-old has struggled to make an impact at the Stadium of Light following the £9million summer arrival of Craig Gordon from Hearts.

However, Stoke are eager to bring the Hungarian international to the Britannia Stadium to compete with current No.1 Steve Simonsen.

And Keane is willing to allow Fulop to leave on a temporary basis to allow the shot-stopper to enhance his international credentials.

Move

"The move (to Stoke) could go through this weekend," Keane told The Sentinel.

"Marton was away on international duty a couple of weeks ago and was told in no uncertain terms by his manger (Peter Varhidi) that he needed to be playing first-team football if he was to be considered for Hungary.

"We understand Marton's position. We have a gentleman's agreement and it looks like his move will now happen."
