Lund: Leaving Sale
Sale Sharks flanker Magnus Lund looks set to join French outfit Biarritz in a bid to force his way back into the England reckoning.
The 24-year-old is believed to be in negotiations over a two-year deal to move across the Channel, with Lund deciding to time is right to move for the sake of his international career.
Lund last played for England on the tour to South Africa in 2007, but failed to make it into the World Cup squad - while injuries saw him miss out on the RBS Six Nations this year.
"If I can be playing well in the Heineken Cup then that should keep me in the frame," he told The Daily Mail.
"Going somewhere totally new should help me develop as a player.
"I've had a great time at Sale but, for me to progress, it's time to move on. I've been here quite a while and part of the challenge will be going over to a new country and experiencing their culture.
"Hopefully that will help me develop as a person and as a player."
