Dallaglio: Ready for Munster
London Wasps captain Lawrence Dallaglio has insisted his side must take on Munster from "one to 15" if they are to reach the Heineken Cup quarter-finals.
Wasps travel to Thomond Park for a winner-takes-all clash in Pool Five - with Munster a fearsome proposition at home, the defending champions could be in for a tough afternoon.
Munster's record at Thomond Park is phenomenal - with only Leicester last season managing to win there in the competition.
And Dallaglio, a 49-22 loser there in the 1996-97 tournament, has no doubt what his side will be up against.
"It's got it all," Dallaglio told The Times. "The two past champions are playing to stay alive. There are no second chances.
"There's a big challenge here for all sorts of individuals, whether you're a recently retired international player or aspiring to play at that level.
"If I were an international coach, this is the sort of game I'd be watching, because it's where you really see what players are made of. There's so much at stake.
"This is our international, which makes it even more special. Who knows, this might be my last game in Ireland?"
Having seen Leicester end Munster's unbeaten home run last season, Dallaglio believes Wasps must follow the Tigers' example.
"They won by fronting up from one to 15," he said.
"Your defence has to be outstanding, you've got to take the points when they are on offer and you've got to be able to cope with everything that comes your way.
"For a few of us it will be a novel experience, while some of us are fortunate that we've been at this level a few times before.
"There's a huge amount of respect for what Munster have offered, and do offer. They are synonymous with the competition itself. We know how difficult it will be. But we also know what it will take to win."
