Peterson: rib problem

Wakefield will be without winger Matt Peterson for the visit of St Helens. The Australian has a rib cartilage injury and is set to be out a month.

Wildcats stand-off Jamie Rooney, who was dropped for last weekend's Challenge Cup semi-final defeat by Hull, has a viral infection this week and also misses out.

Coach John Kear is likely to continue with the half-back partnership of Danny Brough and Brad Drew for the visit of the leaders, as he bids to launch a late run into the play-offs.

St Helens captain Paul Sculthorpe has been named in the visitors' squad after overcoming a hamstring injury, although scrum-half Sean Long is rested for the trip across the Pennines.

Prop Nick Fozzard remains a long-term absentee but 19-year-old forward Jacob Emmit is included in coach Daniel Anderson's squad.
