Thorman: Injury blow
Huddersfield Giants are without captain Chris Thorman for Saturday's clash against Warrington Wolves at the Millennium Stadium.
Thorman has been spending all week in a hyperbaric chamber in a last desperate bid to be fit for the trip to Cardiff after missing last weekend's 28-20 defeat at Hull FC with a dead leg.
However, the goal-kicking utility back has lost his race against time to feature against the Wolves, prompting head coach Jon Sharp to select Shane Elford as his replacement in the back line.
Warrington are without hooker Jon Clarke for the Millennium Magic clash after he recently lost his appeal against a two-match suspension.
Clarke was found guilty of striking with his forearm during the Wolves' 20-22 home defeat by St Helens last Friday, and despite an appeal from the club the RFL refused to overturn the decision.
Wolves head coach Paul Cullen has drafted in 19-year-old prop Mike Cooper as Clarke's replacement as Warrington look to build on their strong start to the Super League campaign.
Paul Wood (shoulder), Steve Pickersgill (knee) and Chris Bridge (Achilles) remain sidelined as Cullen's men aim for a win which would take them within a point of second placed Catalans Dragons.
Giants squad: Aspinwall, Elford, Whaturia, Brown, Robinson, Crabtree, Skandalis, Lolesi, Raleigh, Jones, Jackson, Mason, Snitch, Griffin, Hudson, Hemingway, Cudjoe, Lawrence, Jensen.
Wolves squad: Reardon, Hicks, M. Gleeson, King, Penny, Briers, Monaghan, Morley, Rauhihi, L. Anderson, Westwood, V. Anderson, M. Gleeson, Parker, Johnson, Riley, Bracek, Harrison, Cooper.
