if we can't get Slaven Bilic to be the new West Ham manager, then i think Laudrup would be the next best option to replace Curbishley. I certainly don't want Donadoni, who's idea of football is safety first. We want to watch exciting, attacking football.

The situation at Newcastle is riduculous. They've lost a top manager (again) because they have amatuers running the club. Dennis Wise is obviously carrying his 'playing career pitch antics' into his new role by just going round upsetting people. He caused unknown problems after coming for a final pay-day at my club Leicester City. I wouldn't have him in my management team if he was paying me to be on it !!! Let's hope a new owner comes in, bringing stability & King Kev gets his job back. The Geordie fans wear their hearts on their sleeves & have clearly shown who they're backing !!

What is Paul Jewel doing still in a job? The board, at the time, sacked Billy Davies and replaced him with someone who is yet to win a league game and has been given millions to spend.

Oh dear! Oh dear! Oh dear! I wondered how long it would be before Chelsea fans (Brian Donegan) started moaning about Robinho going to Man City for the money. Sounds like a bit of jealousy or hypocrasy to me. Ok so you've won two league titles, the FA and league cups, but before your Russian Billionaire started out pricing everyone else you were nothing. Wrigh-Phillips, Shevchenko, Crespo, Sidwell, Ben-Haim, Ballack... the list is endless. They were all turned by the rubel. Before you say, yes United spend big but its cash generated by the club and fans not our owners.

Brian Donegan (Chelsea fan) says...
I think Robinho is a disgrace. Its so painfully obvious that he went for the money, given that he had said like five minutes before the deadline he wanted to go to chelsea. Already the similarties between city and chelsea are a Joke!!! City must remeber that chelsea have won the premier league twice, FA Cup, Carling cup and final of champions league. When they get that far then they can start talking. No chance of top 4 this year, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man U and Liverpool are too strong - city still have some medicore players lets not forget and will be too far behind by Jan. Good luck in the uefa cup Robinho you farce!!! Drogba will cut them down!!

Does no one else think that spurs signing dos santos for 4.7 million was a bit strange. if Barca rated him so highly, as he was ronaldinho's understudy you would think he was a bit more valuable. The only thing I can think of is Barca must have a hefty percentage of any selling on fee, or first choice on a buy back.

David Freeman (Tottenham Hotspur fan) says...
What a saga over Berba although they had him as Dimi months ago, yes I'm talking about the Manchester Mafioso. How is it teams like Luton get highly punished by the FA yet ManU seem to "walk on water" no matter what they do. Isn't what they've done bringing the game into disrepute? We owe Man City cos United tried to get Berba on the cheap. It was Spurs who showcased Berba to stardom so lets see who's noticed next, hopefully Pavlyuchenko and Dos Santos. I think Spurs have done really well in this transfer window so hopefully they will all want to play well for the shirt.

Geordies care about our club,We dont need wise and ashley and lambias the entertainer. What we need is the geordies to put their hands in their pockets and buy ashley out.Even if its a few quid profit because thats all he is after.Chris Mort was probably silenced too thats why he jumped ship.Mike Ashley seemed a genuine guy until the club wanted money off him now he has shown that he aint 100% Black nd white,Anyone can wear the black nd white colours on their back but it has to be in your blood too.Come on get a consortium together and buy out Ashley ie Alan Shearer,Ant nd Dec,Sting,Kevin Keegan,Jimmy Naill,Peter Beardsley come on lads this is your club get the money together and run it like it should be,Oh I forgot 1 name Mr Bean your a geordie too and could not do any worse.

Of course the Americans should sell! we are struggling to compete already and cant afford layers like keane without raising funds by selling other players! also dont have the money for the stadium. we need money in the team to buy top class players, with money we will be the best as we have a manager who will still buy the players who are correct for the position rather than just the biggest names!

Shame Curbishley went, he was a good manager.. Rumour has it that he's gonna replace Keegan at Newcastle. Also, keep an eye out for Brazil's Ronaldo to be training for Liverpool soon, he's a free agent so he can sign whenever..

David Walsh (Liverpool fan) says...
I think it is about time that the liverpool owners sell up and get out, look at manchester city signing robhino for 30+ million and man u signing berbatov for the same, liverpool will never win the league as long as they are in charge, we couldn't even sign barry as they wouldnt put the money up. With interest now from dubai, they might be able to let us finally compete with the likes of chelsea, man u and even now man city

In regards to the comments from Kane Hopps "an Arsenal fan". Mentioned in your blog is "this man is ruining our once great football club". Without Wenger Arsenal would still have managers like Bruce Rioch!! What a shame some fans have now become so fickle.

NEWCASTLE UNITED, pure comedy! I completely sympathise with KK. You cant maintain a management role when your decisions are publicly ignored by the board. Perhaps Mike Ashley might want to take a valuation of the club when they are narrowly surviving in the first division. There are some great assets at the club: Michael Owen, Shay Given, Steven Taylor etc but they wont stick around if there isnt the support, ambition or determination in evidence. The club will continue to spiral into a farce unless some signs of unity are clearly displayed and there is currently no sign of an inkling of confidence coming from St James's. Perhaps the WOW in the transfer market was that we didnt actually buy a great deal?....... Next season's derby at Hartlepool should be great.
