Hick: Worcester return
Graeme Hick is set to return to Worcestershire's line-up to face Gloucester at New Road in Division Two of the LV County Championship.
The 41-year-old former England batsman is recovering well from keyhole surgery on his elbow and is likely to return to the Pears' upper-order in place of Moeen Ali.
Seam bowler Kabir Ali is also optimistic of returning to action after a sore hamstring has kept him out of recent matches.
Simon Jones looks set to make just his second Championship appearance for Worcestershire after taking five wickets in Sunday's Friends Provident Trophy win over Hampshire.
The former Glamorgan paceman takes the place of Chris Whelan in home side's 12-man squad.
The Pears are still without fast bowler Matt Mason who has recovered from a shoulder injury but picked up a slight groin strain against Loughborough UCCE.
Young fast bowler Mehraj Ahmed suffered a minor side strain in the same match and is another absentee.
Gloucestershire will hope to have skipper Jon Lewis back for the trip to New Road.
The seamer did not take part in Sunday's Friends Provident Trophy clash with Somerset after complaining of soreness in his groin.
However, he has responded well to a period of intensive treatment and is likely to be fit to lead his county into action.
