The Friends Provident Trophy is the ECB's premier one-day domestic competition. As the only domestic competition that emulates the one-day international format, it is a great platform for young cricketers to showcase their talent as well as being the perfect tournament for current England stars to gain more experience in the one-day format.
This is the second year that Friends Provident has sponsored the Friends Provident Trophy, and we're looking forward to a thrilling season - especially as this year's competition restructure should bring new excitement to every match.
Last year, we introduced semi-finals. This year, we also have quarter-finals, and teams have been grouped into four regions consisting of five teams each. Each county now plays each other twice, stimulating local rivalry.
